All-Time Great Pass Rushers

Dr. Z in a 2000 SI article goes over his top ten pass rushers of all-time. What do you think? Did he miss anyone?

    I don’t think he missed anyone. I guess if you consider the past decade you’d have to also consider Jason Taylor (Dolphins), Julius Peppers (Panthers), Dwight Freeney (Colts), and maybe Jared Allen (Vikings) but I don’t know if they crack the top ten of all time. I probably missed some from the last decade since I just named those three off the top of my head.

    Oh yeah, before I probablyI would have added Shawne Merriman from the Chargers, but he seems to have slipped ever since he tested positive for some sort of PED a few years ago.

    It’s a good list, but the only person I could think of who’s not on the list and always seemed to be in the backfield is Howie Long. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if stats proved me completely wrong, though.
